Searching of Novel Herbicides for Paddy Field Weed Management—A Case Study with Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase

چکیده
Weed management is the major biological constraint in paddy (Oryza sativa L.) producing areas. Predominantly, barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli) a rice-mimicking weed that causes 57% of yield loss rice production. Conventionally, herbicides are site-specific inhibitors often used to suppress E. crus-galli growth. Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) an important target for developing novel with remarkable selectivity against gramineous weeds. Notably, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl (FPPE) selective ACCase herbicide extensively fields inhibit grass. However, prolonged use FPPE elicits phytotoxicity cultivated and resistance Recently, phytotoxins emerging as alternative commercial safer environmental profiles. Nevertheless, discovering natural through vivo vitro techniques time-consuming expensive. Therefore, high-end computational screening strategies including Tanimoto similarity, docking, binding free energy, herbicide-likeness were pinpoint lead molecule. Finally, molecular dynamics MM/PBSA calculations employed validate kinetics hit compound. Indeed, sinigrin was identified promising phytotoxic inhibitor enzyme. The findings our study well correlated existing experimental results. Overall, current work will aid development commercializing phytotoxin foreseeable future.

متن کاملResistance of various biotypes of Canary grass (phalaris. Spp) to acetyl-CoA carboxylase-inhibiting herbicides.
Little seed canary grass (Phalaris minor L.) is a major weed in wheat fields in some parts of Iran. To evaluate the efficacy of molecular and greenhouse methods in detecting the resistance of 49 biotypes of canary grass(Phalaris. Spp) to acetyl-CoA carboxylase-inhibiting herbicides, two methods including whole plant screening and PCR-based molecular methods were applied. Results showed that the...

medium containing [” Plphosphate, the distribution of 32P-labelled acetyl-CoA carboxylase in the fractions can be investigated and it has been found that a greater proportion of the phosphorylated enzyme is present in the polymeric form after exposure of the intact tissue to insulin. Present studies are concerned with investigating whether this polymeric active form is phosphorylated to a great...
متن کاملRegulation of acetyl-coA carboxylase: properties of coA activation of acetyl-coA carboxylase.
Acetyl-CoA carboxylase [acetyl-CoA:carbon-dioxide ligase (ADP-forming), EC 6.4.1.2] is activated by physiological concentrations of CoA. The CoA concentration dependency of this activation is sigmoidal; below 60 microM there is little or no activation, but the activation observed between 60 and 120 microM indicates that small changes in the concentration of CoA can cause significant changes in ...

Both herbicide classes, though structurally com pletely different, specifically block the same target enzyme i.e. the plastid acetyl-CoA carboxy lase (ACC) (EC 6.4.1.2). ...
